The chorus is about a man who realizes what he has when he loses it. And he tells us about it with different examples like: when the sun comes down is when he needs light. Another example is that he has always got the sun and when the storm begins he realizes that sun is very important. He only values happiness when he feels sad, and he would like to be at home when he spends a long time so far. Actually with these examples he means that you only know what you have when it is too late beacuse you have already lost it. And this is what has happened to him with his girlfriend, when he loses her, he feels alone because he is still in love with her.

He also explains to us that what happens with dreams is similar to what happens with love: they come too slow and leave so fast. And then the man feels so sad because his love story was like a short dream where he loved her so much but he lost her very quickly, and now he only has the old memories.

In conclusion, this song is a little reflection about how people don't value the things they have.

 Hardly anybody appreciates  what they have until they have lost it. This is what happened to that heartbroken boy who explains that he has lost what he had, probably a girlfriend or a close friend.

We can suspect that he had fallen in love with a very special girl, but their relationship was stormy because they had a lot of arguments and he didn't pay attention to her. Then, the couple decided to grow apart. Some months later, he didn't try to make up their problems but instead of fighting for that love, he let her go. Now he knows that he hasn't got over yet and he regrets having left his soulmate.

He feels negative and alone and also he doesn’t realise what is happening in his life, but he hopes that what he dreams every day, can be true someday. He knows that he was smitten with her and he feels heartbroken, because love hurts.

At first, the singer is heartbroken because he and his girlfiernd have grown apart. The man realizes that he misses a lot of things when he has lost them, so he misses her too, because he has fallen out of touch with her.

The boy thinks about the girl and he doesn't get over, but he hopes to see her again. He knows things are difficult to get but easy to lose. For this reason, now, he realizes that he should have taken better care of her.

He screwed it up and he feels so sad, because they split up very fast. They loved each other, but they have ruined everything.

Finally, now he knows that he won't have her again.
