Finally, and although it hurts, after accepting his big mistake, he wishes her actual boyfriend gives (T)  she (G) everything he didn't gave, such as flowers, which hold her hand and give you all your hours.

In the first verse, Bruno talks about a bed that feels empty with just one person in it, how the songs they used to listen together do not feel the same. Also, every time he hears her name, his world falls apart.

Bruno's talking about how the same things feel very different without the right person.

Later, the singer explains that he was too young (and too dumb) to realize that he should have treated her better. And therefore, now she's with another man.

In the third verse, he admits that his ego, his pride and his own selfish needs took precedence over her. And all that caused her to leave him. Now he realizes that he will never be able to fix the damage he has done, and that this feeling will haunt him forever.

The fourth verse is the chorus.

In the end, Bruno acknowledges that it was all his fault but now is too late to apologize for all the mistakes he made. Nevertheless, Bruno has a final wish, he hopes that his new boyfriend treats her well, as he should have done.

In this song, the boy explains that he's heartbroken because the girl that he loves isn't with him anymore and now that the relationship has ended, she moved on and she has another boyfriend but he can't because he is still in love with her.

At this point, he realizes that he did it all wrong. He should have treated her better when they were together and he also notices that he had the right girl and the woman of his life in front of him but he didn't see it.

But all in all, he knows perfectly well that now it's too late for apologies and to clean the mess because she won't come back with him anyway. For this reason, he wishes her the best and he hopes that her new boyfriend will do the things he had never got to do while he was with her like: buying her flowers, holding her hands or dancing with her.

There was a couple who was in love. He was too young and he didn't get over it. He was egoistic and arrogant. Finally they broke up for the reason that they couldn’t patch up their differences. Now he feels very sad because he realises that he can’t get over the break up. As well as when their friends talked about her, he felt very hurt.

At present, he would like to do all the things she liked as take her to party or to be thoughtful with her. Just now she is with another man who will treat her better than him.

In  addition , he hopes her new boy will do all things he couldn't give her.

In the first paragraph he lets us see that he just broke up with his girlfriend and wherever he goes and whatever he watches, it all reminds of  her. Then he feels his absence and things are different without her.

[Chorus] In the second paragraph he regrets not having spent more time with her neither having paid her more attention nor having  been more thorough when he had the chance. Now it’s too late because she’s with another guy who values her and makes her happy.

Then he names the causes which caused the break up . These reasons are his own shortcomings and therefore he knows it’s his fault.

Finally he apologizes to her admitting his mistakes and he tells her that he only wishes things would have been different when they were together and that he could have given her what she deserved. He still remembers what she likes and he asks her to do what she enjoys doing like dancing.

He explains that he's heartbroken because she isn't with him and everything reminds him of her. He feels down when he hears talking about her and everything is more sad without her. He regrets not having done what he should have done when he was with her and now he has lost the woman os his life. He knows that it's too late too regret this situation and he knows that she won't go back with him but he recognizes that he has done the wrong things and he knows that it's his fault. Now she is with another man and he wants her to be happy with her new couple wishing her that this man does everything he didn't do to her. In conclusion he explains all the pain he feels having lost her.

In the first verse, the singer notices that there’s been an important change in his life, he realizes how much things have changed since his girlfriend and he broke up. He feels everything in a different way than before: the bed is bigger now (without her), when he listens to those songs, which they loved, his feelings aren’t the same anymore… In addition, each thing that reminds him of his recent relationship hurts him a lot; therefore, he can’t stand hearing how his friends talk about her, his old love. He is heartbroken.

Afterwards, the author explains that due to his young age he didn’t know how to behave with his girlfriend: he didn’t either surprise her with little gifts or hold her hand when he had the opportunity to do it. He neither took her to the parties that she wanted to go to. He regrets not having spent more time with her and not having done all those things, because if he had, she’d certainly not be dancing with another man now.

In the third verse, Bruno Mars admits that his selfish and egoistic manners made her a strong and confident woman who didn’t hesitate at all when it was time to leave him. When he thinks about what happened he gets depressed and upset. Nevertheless, he is conscious: it all was his fault, and, consequently, he isn’t able to forget anything.

In the fourth verse, the singer repeats what he’s said in the second one.

Eventually, he recognizes that it’s too late to apologize for every mistake he’s made. However, he finishes the song with a wish: the author wants her new boyfriend to do everything he hasn’t. This is his strongest desire because if he is able to accomplish this, he won’t suffer and harass himself as the singer, Mars, has.
