EUTHANASIA (final version)

Euthanasia is a highly controversial practice, and is increansingly becoming more popular, many people disagree, as they feel that it goes against the ethical principles, whereas other people think that it is the only way out they find to stop suffering. The views are widely dispersed.

On the one hand, people who do not support euthanasia, do so because these people believe that life is the most precious thing we have and we should not decide when to die. They also believe that it is cruel because the patient can have an improvement and because there may be a family dispute over inheritance or problems for organ donation.

On the other hand, there are many other people who support this because they believe that it is the only way to stop suffering and die with dignity, and not a painful and slow death and they think that they have the right to express their desire to decide.

In conclusion, I am in favor of euthanasia, as long as all parties agree and unfortunately the disease can't be cured, although this is very difficult and it will  always be a very difficult  and controversial issue.

Euthanasia (Final version)

Euthanasia has become a frequent option, but despite this there are a lot of people who are against. It's evident that euthanasia should be applied just in case you're sure that you're gonna die, because if you have a chance to survive, euthanasia shouldn't be considered. Let's see the different opinions:

On the one hand, there are people who think that euthanasia should be considered a homicide, because you are taking the life of another person or animal, and life is the most important thing that we have.

On the other hand, a lot people can be suffering at a moment of their lives , and maybe people prefer die in order not to suffer any more, to rest in peace. Life, if you wish to die due to your suffering, isn't life, and that's the reason why euthanasia should be applied.

To sum up, I support euthanasia because I think that if you see that you're going to die, it is not worth suffering.

Euthanasia (final version)

At the moment, euthanasia is legal in some countries like Holland and Belgium, although this controversial topic is causing great debate amongst many people.

One of the main arguments for euthanasia is  it is wrong to keep people alive by using life support machines for example. In addition, it gives people the ability to die with dignity and relatives don't have to see their family member suffering a slow and painful death.

On the other hand, people might recover from an illness or a cure could be found. Furthermore, the number of murders could rise with family members wanting to get their hand on inheritances. Euthanasia  could also be used against a person's wishes and their organs sold to make a profit.

All in all, I am in favour of euthanasia as I think it is very hard for families and friends of a terminally ill patient who has no hope of getting better, to have to see them suffering.

What about euthanasia? (Final version)

Nowadays, euthanasia is one of the most polemical topics in our society. Despite the gigantic development of medicine and new technologies, it seems like we will never be able to get the cure for every single disease in the world. Should these people who are living in pain due to an incurable illness have the right to decide if they want to live or not? Let's see what people think...

On the one hand we have all these people who agree with the practice of euthanasia. They think that their own opinion is the most important one when you have to decide whether you want to live or not. The main argument they give is that a whole life suffering in a deathbed, which is the case when euthanasia is more required, cannot be considered real life.

On the other hand we have detractors of the practice of euthanasia. They say that they claim the human right to live. Doctors don’t really like euthanasia because they have the feeling that they are killing someone. Others even appeal to religion, saying that God is the only one who can decide the end of someone’s life.

On balance, the variety of attitudes toward euthanasia makes this a polemical topic which is difficult to be solved. What is clear is that someone who has decided to put an end to his life has to feel totally hopeless. We never know how difficult such situations are until we are involved in them. So I would like to see how long all these “defenders of life” would last with a painful disease without being able to do anything…
