OPINION ESAY ABOUT GADAFI’S MURDERED

Gadafi was murdered by Libians. Gadafi had hidden because the people wanted to kill him and he was frightened.

Firstly, Gadafy had done many unfair things and people hated him for that. While he was governing he killed a lot of women and children and he used the petrol in order to get rich. He forgot the requirement of the people to eat and live. Consequently, the citizens revolted against the dictator.
In my opinion, Gadafi’s murder was a horrible action because nobody has the right to kill a person. Murder is against human rights. Moreover, all people have the right to have a trial. In spite of his actions, Gadafi had to be judged and the judge would have had to decide Gadafi’s punishment. He didn’t deserve to be killed in this form seeing that it was unfair for him because everybody has the right to life.

On the other hand, I disagree with the possibility of photographing Gadafi’s corpse. It’s true that a photo can give actual, present and important information but it’s not necessary that everybody can take a photo, it’s a sadistic and immoral action.

Finally, I understand the feelings of the people however I couldn’t kill anyone because no one has the power to decide who lives and who dies and why.

Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi (1994-2011) or Colonel Gaddafi was the president of Libya.  His political system apparently was a Republic, but it was only a cover so as not to reveal which was the real one, a dictatorship. The Gaddafi’s regime was characterized by censure, violence, and the worst thing was the citizen liberty ban.  The world powers, despite knowing everything, didn’t do anything in front of that; they behaved like lambs. The reason was simple, Libya had a lot of fossil fuel wells and we need them. This situation has culminated in a social revolution and a terrible war which finished when the rebels killed Gaddafi in the street in front of all the people, when he was trying to run away.

Death is something very important for humans; therefore dying is the fairest thing you can find. Independently of what you did in your life, everybody has the same end, for this reason I think that when you die, you deserve a correct death in right conditions. Consequently, I disagree with the way Gaddafi was killed. On the one hand, he was a murderer and a dictator, but on the other hand he was a human therefore he should have died in better conditions, because in my view our life is the highest price we can pay, so, the minimum is a dignified death.

To conclude, I want to make clear that I agree that Gaddafi paid all the atrocities he made with his life, but I disagree with the way that he was killed, he deserved a peaceful, fair death like any other one.

THE MURDER OF A DICTATOR

Muammar Gaddafi known to most people as Colonel Gaddafi was killed on 20th October 2011. Gaddafi was the official ruler of Libya for 42 years. It is said that he ruled the country as a dictator and it is generally believed that he wasn't interested in developing the country and, moreover, everything he did was for his own benefit. For these reasons there was an uprising against him and his government which lasted for 8 months and resulted in not only his death, but also his son's and one of his aids.

Firstly, official reports say that Gaddafi was killed in a crossfire, however there are videos on the Internet that show the moments leading to his murder. The videos show a Gaddafi begging for his life while he was being tortured. Afterwards you are able to see his dead body with bullet holes and stab wounds. Although he had done a lot of bad things, I don't think that anybody deserves to die like that. What's more, his dying moments were seen by the whole world.

On the one hand, I understand why the citizens of Libya wanted him to suffer, but on the other hand, the way they killed Gaddafi was the same as the way that Gaddafi treated his people and that's why the uprising began in the first place.

Not only did they not bury Gaddafi, according to the Muslim tradition, but they showed off his body like a trophy, so that anybody who wanted to could take photos. As far as I'm concerned, this shows a lack of respect to the Muslim religion and to Gaddafi's family.

To sum up, in my opinion, it is good that Gaddafi is no longer the ruler of Libya, however, the Libyan people should have found another way of removing him as a leader. It is clear that Libya is now free from Gaddafi's rule, but who knows who is going to be the next leader of Libya.

GADDAFI'S DEATH

On20 October2011, MuammarGaddafi, leaderof Libya, was capturedand beatento deathby NTCforces. Hisdeath andsubsequent eventsare amystery sincenobody reallyknow whathappened andthere aremany hypothesis. On myopinion,Gaddafi's lifeshould havebeen takenin anotherway.
Firstly, NTC forces dragged him from the drainage pipe he was hiding in and what next happened is uncertain, but it is known that he was beaten by them. I believe that it would have been better to keep him alive, so they could trial him for crimes against humanity. After that, they exposed the body in a freezer so that everybody could see him dead and didn't let Gaddafi's family or Amnesty International make an autopsy. In addition, he shouldn't have been displayed like a trophy because he should have been buried.
Secondly, after Gaddafi's death, the new government won't give more rights to the citizens and it will be based on the Islamic law, Sharia. To my mind, abolishing divorce and allowing polygamy is not a step forward since divorced was allowed during Gaddafi's regime and polygamy wasn't, but they are still in transition and we don't know yet what their democracy will be like.
Tosum up,Gaddafi's shouldhave beenkept aliveso hecould havebeen triedand rebelsshouldn't haveshown hisbody asa trophyas theydid, becausethat kindof actsis whatthey condemned.

GADAFI'S DEATH

Gaddafi was a cruel dictator and now he is dead. Is that good?

I think Gaddafi was a very bad person who killed lot of people violently and took their freedom away. Moreover, he stole money from the people in his country. What’s more, if the people hadn’t killed him he would have lived in a prison for the rest of his life, which costs a lot of money. But, is that enough to kill somebody?

In my opinion it is not right. Because he was a person and the way he was killed is not acceptable in our days. I don’t believe killing people is the best way to fight against violence. Moreover, it is possible that it causes more violence. In my view, the people who killed Gaddafi should have allowed the court to judge him for his crimes and decide his end.

DID OSAMA BIN LANDEN DESERVE TO DIE?

As most people know, Osama Bin Laden, head of Al Qaeda  and responsible for hundreds of deaths in terrorist attacks, such as those in New York and Madrid, was recently killed by an American armed forces unit after many years of searching.  There are, obviously, many different opinions about this killing from people all over the world.

On the one hand, there are people who are clearly glad, some even ecstatic, that this man is dead.  I would say that most Americans share this point of view, because either they have had family or friends killed in these tragic acts of terrorism or they are simply very patriotic and wanted the man responsible for all these deaths to get what he deserved.

On the other hand, there are people who don’t believe it was right to kill him.  In this group we can distinguish Bin Laden’s followers who, obviously, wanted to keep him alive, and people who, even though they don’t agree with the things he has done, don’t believe that he deserved to be killed.

Either way, Osama Bin Landen was a man who had committed horrible, criminal acts of terrorism and deserved to be punished in some shape or form.

DID OSAMA BIN LANDEN DESERVE TO DIE?

Osama Bin Laden has been the most wanted terrorist ever. He was the leader of the terrorist group Al-Qaeda and he has been the protagonist of many terrorist attacks like the airplane crash against the Twin Towers.

In my opinion, I think he deserved to be killed. The pain and damage he had caused couldn’t be compensated for in any way, but his death was the only way to stop the frequency of his band’s terrorist attacks. But the fact that he is already dead makes it more difficult to answer many questions about the terrorist group.

To conclude, I think that it would have been better to trap him alive.

Gadhafi's death

Muamar el Gadhafi was murdered last 20th October by a group of Libyan rebels who wanted to change the government of their country. This killing has caused a stir around the world.  Some people think he deserved to die while other people think nobody can be murdered. Now, I will explain my point of view.

First of all, I’m convinced that nobody has the right to decide about other people’s life. Consequently, no one can kill another person even though this person is a criminal, a terrorist or anything else.  As I see it, people who murder criminals are acting with the same wickedness that they disapprove, so they are becoming criminals too. Killing people is against human rights, which should be respected by everybody. What’s more, I think that people don’t respect human rights because they don’t know them as well as they should.

Secondly, I’m sure that media has given a very negative image of Gadhafi. This is because The United States has manipulated the information in order that people think Gadhafi deserved to die. So I feel that The United States is as villain as Gadhafi was, they fought against the dictator to steal from him the petrol he had, and a good way to get the petrol was to kill the dictator. With information power, U.S. has become “the good guy”. I’m not trying to defend what Gaddafi did; my intention is to show the different points of view I have considered to form my opinion. In conclusion, Gaddafi tried to defend his petrol from enemies, and, just like the U.S., he used violence, so both parts deserve the same punishment. But this punishment should never be death.
On the other hand, Gaddafi was a dictator, he had the government power by force, and this attempts to human rights too. In this case, I’m for rebels, who should end with Gaddafi’s regime, but not using violence, because I’m sure that the greatest power is the one from words.

To sum up, no one deserves to die, although he/she has caused much harm. Consequently, I think Gadhafi’s death was unfair, and he deserved a judgment.

MUAMAR EL GADAFFI, WAS IT FAIR?

As we’ve heard in the news and other communications systems, Gadaffi, Lybia’s dictator until now, died last month murdered by rebel militants during the revolution of this country.

The ruler was in Sirte, one of the last places loyal to the dictatorship and his hometown, running away in a little convoy of two vehicles when NATO fighter bombers attacked what was supposed to be a “menace” for the population. I think we haven’t been told all the truth about this attack: obviously, letting him run away would have been a mistake, but it’s difficult to understand why planes are needed to stop two 4x4.

Then, hurt and hidden in a great pipe in the middle of the desert, he was found by rebels who, as we can see in several videos taken with mobile phones, lynched and executed him by shooting him in the stomach and head, the same thing happened with one of his sons and his defense minister. I know Gadaffi was a heartless man, who had driven his country to poverty and war while he was surrounded by luxury, and also a merciless ruler who had committed several serious crimes. Despite all these facts, in my view, Gadaffi shouldn’t have been killed, he should have been treated as a war prisoner in order to judge and prosecute him for his crimes. In my opinion rebels should have tried to keep him alive.

If the dictator's death hadn’t been recorded with mobile phones, we would probably only know the first official announcement by rebels: Gadaffi died in an ambulance on his way to hospital. For me, the explanation is that the transition government of the country was trying to hide the truth.

After his death, the ruler’s body and the bodies of the ones who were with him were exposed in a fridge room so that everyone could see them. From my point of view, that’s absolutely awful, unpleasant and disrespectful: they were decomposing and was very nasty to show corpses that way. In my opinion, bodies should have been respected and buried as soon as possible. A picture of the dictator dead would have been more than enough.

Finally, it’s said that Gadaffi was buried in a secret place, somewhere in the middle of the desert, even though his will said he wanted to be buried in Sirte, his hometown. If that’s really true, I agree, that way the corpse will be respected and the place won’t become a pilgrimage place for the dictatorship supporters.

To sum up, I believe that we will never know completely all the truth about the death of Muamar El Gadaffi, but we know that, despite the fact he had never been fair in his life, his death should have been.

GADDAFI'S MURDER

Muammar Gaddafi was the Libyan dictator since 1969; he reached power with a coup. He sponsored terrorist organizations, such as FARC, IRA and ETA, and was involved in several attacks and murders. He was accused of crimes against humanity. After the 2011 Libyan Civil War, which ended with the rebel victory, he was brutally killed.

Firstly, everybody knows he killed loads of people. Consequently, from my point of view he had to be punished. However, no one deserves to die. Therefore, to my mind killing him was excessive.

Furthermore, Gaddafi said that he preferred to die rather than leave the government, so he clearly wouldn’t have stopped his dictatorship. Consequently, they had to act in order that he stopped killing people.

In conclusion, I think that he was extremely bad, but it was not necessary to kill him as brutally as they did. Instead of that, it seems to me that he could have been imprisoned and tried for his crimes and that would have ended his rule as a dictator as well.

GADAFFI'S MURDER

Gaddafi was a Libyan dictator. His policy was very authoritarian and that is why the people rebelled against him. Everyone wanted to kill Gaddafi, therefore he got sheltered until one day he was found, and got killed  two or three weeks ago.
Personally, I agree with Gaddafi’s murder, even though his murder has been too violent, but on the other hand, it can be justified both for all these years of war and injustice and his personality, as he was a cruel dictator and a murderer. However, I think that all the world countries should have acted sooner to prevent all the deaths apart from the moral damage that he caused to the Libyan people. For example, USA or Germany, which are major world powers, could have put an end to the killings and his dictatorship. I also support the People’s Revolution, since they were treated unjustly and they deserve a better life.
To conclude, now that Gaddafi is gone, I suppose that they will live better, because they will have a new government.
