GADDAFI'S MURDER

Muammar Gaddafi was the Libyan dictator since 1969; he reached power with a coup. He sponsored terrorist organizations, such as FARC, IRA and ETA, and was involved in several attacks and murders. He was accused of crimes against humanity. After the 2011 Libyan Civil War, which ended with the rebel victory, he was brutally killed.

Firstly, everybody knows he killed loads of people. Consequently, from my point of view he had to be punished. However, no one deserves to die. Therefore, to my mind killing him was excessive.

Furthermore, Gaddafi said that he preferred to die rather than leave the government, so he clearly wouldn’t have stopped his dictatorship. Consequently, they had to act in order that he stopped killing people.

In conclusion, I think that he was extremely bad, but it was not necessary to kill him as brutally as they did. Instead of that, it seems to me that he could have been imprisoned and tried for his crimes and that would have ended his rule as a dictator as well.
