Parents should keep an eye on their children when they use Facebook

Nowadays, many of us participate in social networks such asTwitter, Tuenti, among others.
At first, the requirement to join was to have a certain age, but kids ignore this rule and, to get on the site, they lie about their age.

On the one hand, these social networking sites are good ways to meet people; make, sometimes, “real” friendships. In fact, these are good ways to communicate with others much better. Also, you can be in contact with anyone you want. What’s more, you can upload photos, videos or links on your interests.

On the other hand, if you are an adult you can control the situations but if you aren’t an adult and you don’t have the supervision of another adult, you are on risk. Due to the fact that these networks are used all over the world, parents believe that their children are safe. Surely, if their parents were aware of some things, they would keep an eye on their children when they use Facebook.

In conclusion, another issue to talk about is the lack of privacy of these networks. People must be aware of that these pages are working to convince lots of people to sign up. However, “this not only leaves the child open to identity theft with facial recognition software but also too many other hidden aspects we often overlook”.

Parents must be attentive to their children if they don’t want to put their children’s lives in danger
