Nowadays, there are a lot of laboratories which use animals to experiment with some drugs and other kind of products, and these experiments are legal.
On the one hand, experimenting with animals has advantages because the drugs have the same effect, or similar, for the animals and for the humans, and this help us to find some cures to illness such as cancer, HIV, diabetes... What’s more, the person who carries out the experiment has the advantage of working with animals that don’t say anything, consequently it is perfect to work with them.
On the other hand, the disadvantages are that there are animals which die in some experiments and others fall very ill. In addition, there are some experimenters who exploit the animals and they don’t care about them, they only worry about the experiment and the results.
In conclusion, I think that animal testing is a cruel thing because the animals don’t deserve to live just to be experimented on . It helps us to find cures, but it is damaging the animals, so I ask myself...is this ethical?
