Two years ago I was living in Barcelona with my family, my group of friends, my school, the basketball team... And especially with my girlfriend Jennifer.
Because of the economic crisis my parents lost their jobs at the hospital where they worked , however the headman of the hospital offered them the chance to going to work in another hospital, my parents agreed these, but the problem was that we had to go to another city. As soon as they told me, I got angry because I would have to leave my friends and my girlfriend, who told her that I would send messages every week.
When we were in the new city everything was different for me, I made new friends in high school and continued playing basketball but I was losing contact with Jennifer, until our relationship ended in failure because of communication problems. At first the change didn't agreed me. Finally I learned that you have turn page and go ahead.

Tom was a normal person... 3
Everything happened so fast that I can hardly remember what went wrong. Tom was a normal person, at least he was until then. He had recently graduated in architecture, but was working at a small advertising company designing logos and slogans since nobody wants an architect with no real experience.
Tom didn't like his job, actually, Tom hated his job. He had studied to design buildings, skyscrapers, towers...
One day he decided to give up that crappy job, what he didn't know is that on that day he not only wouldn't leave his job, but also would regret that day for the rest of his life.
That was the first day of the new secretary, Kate. Tom was cleaning his desk just before going to communicate his resignation to his boss when he saw her, he thought she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen, long black hair and a smile that would brighten the day of a death row inmate. Tom was feeling strange, he had never felt like that before, was it love at first sight perhaps?
During the following days Tom had done more photocopies than in his entire career. He and Kate began dating a few weeks later. They went to the movies, restaurants, even talked about moving in together.
They had been dating for over a year, Tom was the happiest man in the world and thought he had already waited long enough, and that it was time to settle down.
He bought a ring and thought about the best way to ask her to marry him, suddenly the phone rang, it was her, she said they needed to talk and that she would be waiting at the cafeteria where they had their first date, Tom thought that it was the perfect place to propose, the place where everything began and would end. Tom went happily to the cafeteria with the ring in his pocket, planning to surprise her with the proposal, he was sure she would say yes.
Tom arrived only to see Kate crestfallen sitting at a table at the bottom of the cafeteria. Suprised, Tom asked what was wrong and she replied that they needed to talk. Kate explained that she saw no future in their relationship and that they should break before going any further. Tom was silent, he couldn't believe his ears, then without saying anything he walked out of the cafeteria and realised men and women are from different planets.

True love isn't always the first 4
One day, three
years ago, Kate was walking down the street in a hurry, when she bumped into a
guy. By the impact, she had closed her eyes. But, when she opened them, she
looked at his eyes, brown with orange details, and she fell in love with him.
Four months
later they knew each other better, they started dating. They walked together, sometimes
with their dog, they went to the beach, they went camping, etc. they
were able to understand each other.
But that
understanding was declining, because he did strange things that she didn’t understand
perfectly. That's when he worked up the courage and he asked her to marry him. She
said she couldn’t accept, because they had only been dating for a few months. So, he had said her awful things and she ended their relationship.
Nowadays,
kate is married to a man who makes her happy every day and, sometimes, when she
thinks of her old relationship, she thinks that’s why she’d never rush into
marriage.

Better off as friends 1 - WITH HELP!!!!!
A long time ago, when I was going to a different school, a really important event changed my life completely. I will never forget about it, since it has helped me evolve so much. I was an innocent high schooler without that much experience with life, and I had never had never really close to a female; they were usually only acquaintances of mine. However, my group of school friends started to open up a bit more to other people. Soon, the small zone of the playground that used to be "ours" started being a bit more convoluted, although it was refreshing moreso than it was a bother. Along with these new people I was meeting thanks to my buddies, was a really pretty girl one year younger than me, with long blonde hair and beautiful chocolate eyes. Her name was Marcia.
Marcia and I quickly bonded with me more than anyone else in the group. We got to know each other swiftly, and found out that we enjoyed a lot of the same things. We thought we were soulmates almost instantly and, shortly after, started to hang out more outside of school. Obviously, it wasn't long until we started to flirt with each other. At first, it was in a joking manner. I don't think neither of us thought that the other one would be a suitable partner: we were pals, and nothing else! However, feelings change with the passing of time. One random day, I just found myself hoping for her to be in love with me. It took me a bit to realize that, if I was thinking that, was because I was the one in love with her. The reason I wanted her to fall in love with me was because I've always found it hard to talk about my feelings. I didn't want to be the one to come out to her.
At the end, however, I worked up the courage to tell her. And she agreed! But I was soon deceived by what seemed to be so perfect at the beginning. She turned out to be really greedy. She made me buy everything she desired. I even discovered she had cheated on me, even if it was while she was drunk Our relationship became poisonous, and we had really big arguements. Two or three times, we even hit each other. One day, we sat down and started talking about it: we realized that, as friends we were so much happier. We had an open relationship for a while, still meeting up sometimes as boyfriend and girlfriend, but most of the times we just acted as friends and let the other his or her space. And, finally, after two shaky years, we broke up. However, we are still good friends, and I'm glad we were able to maintain that.

Temporary love (4)
Four years ago when I was living in Puerto Ordaz, a small city in Venezuela, I met a beautiful girl with bright eyes. We clicked as soon as we met. Quickly I wanted to know everything about her but I didn't want to talk about my life because I've always found it hard to talk about my feelings so I decided to go slowly, unhurried.
First date, we went to watch a film, a horror film, it was funny because we laughed all the time. When I was laughing she stole to me a kiss then came another, and another. It was the first time I was with a girl. I was really smitten with her. The following weeks, I'd started to rely on her, and we spent happy evenings. We understood each other very well and life was easier by her side.
Suddenly, changes came into my life again and my father told me that I had to return to Colombia. In a couple of days I'd had to say goodbye to my first love. I felt empty and powerless to leave that incredible girl. On the other hand, she was too angry with me and wouldn't stop crying. Once in a while, I visited her facebook and I thought about all the people I've left behind in the past, including her and smile.

Anna was 15 years old when she met John in a summer camp. John was 17 years old. She was from London and he was from France. For the two weeks which they were in the camp they got to know each other better and John became the best friend that she had never had. After the summer camp had finished Anna and John kept in touch by letters.
They sent each other letters every week for six months. In the messages they talked about things which they had done during that week and strange things that had happened to them. Every week that passed Anna started to fall in love with John. She wanted him to tell her about his feelings but she was afraid of being rejected by him. She continued as if nothing was wrong so as not to change the relationship which they had. Meanwhile John stated to fall in love with her too but he didn't want to say anything because he thought she did not feel the same.
Eventually, Anna got the courage to tell him that she was falling for him. From that moment the relationship changed because John stopped writing letters to her. A few months later, John answered one of her letters and he said that distance was their worst enemy and he realized their relationship wouldn’t work.

Love story 4
Last summer Mike and his friend James needed a new flat mate because they could not pay the rent. After a few weeks, they found a flat mate. The new tenant was a girl called Alice. From the first moment Mike fell in love with Alice but he didn’t dare to tell her.
Mike spent all day thinking about Alice but she did not notice him. James advised Mike to forget about Alice but he couldn’t. They lived together; they saw each other all the time. Mike thought he had to say what he felt about her. After a few days James told Alice that Mike was in love with her and they had to go out together because otherwise Mike would leave the house. Alice eventually fell in love with Mike and she confessed her love to him and Mike also told about his feelings for her. They had a relationship. It was a very nice relationship, they loved each other very much and had many plans for the future, but the relationship began to have problems. Alice thought that the relationship could not continue if Mike was not able to talk about his feelings. He had always found difficult to talk about his feelings. The relationship couldn’t continue, so they broke up.
Finally Alice left the house and Mike and James found another flat mate. Now Mike only has memories of something that could be but never will be.

In love, nothing happens just because 2
This story goes back at beggining of this summer. I lead some months a bit desperated because I had start the course get off to a good start, had noticed a big change with the level of the studies and I still loving a boy who I had met in theatre classes in secondary school and
although we knew that we loved each other we never told it for the
other because we had fear of the other's reaction and finally we grow
away with time and it was difficult to overcome.
Well, back to the present, I didn’t know that this year I will met a boy that would become my boyfriend. We met one day in June, I went out for a walk with a friend and then we went dinner at a bar in which we went frequently. We two sat at a table and suddenly we saw a young guy with black hair and we thought he was attractive. When we spend a time in these place carried and we had already asked for the what we wanted he started talking to us and when we went out there he came and asked me my mobile number. And I started went out with him and we got
on well at the beginning of the relationship but as the weeks passed I
think that we realized that we were two different worlds but neither of
us said anything to the other because we didn’t want to hurt some other’s feelings . And finally our relationship ended in failure because of communication problems. And now, when sometimes I remember it I feel some nostalgic. However, I learned that before starting a relationship with someone you must first know this a person and if a relationship ends that is because you and this person didn't destinated to been together because it will be in destiny's hands and the only thing we can do it's waiting and when we meet a special person wouldn't let him or her go.

Is this possible? 4
I will always remember the day I met Sandra. She was such a beautiful and smart girl that I fell in love two weeks after we met. We we're just a couple of guys in a summer school but it was obvious that something more especial was appearing inside us.
the days go through to the last week of the summer school. We had to to take a trip to a forest called Los Alcornocales near Cadiz .While we were on the tour she told me to climb a tree with her to watch all the city. When we were at top of the tree she asked me what I desired most, as I was hungry I replied, "a hamburger". After that she stepped down from the tree and started to act strange for the rest of the week.
After some time I realised what had happened and I said to myself: "Damm, I was so naive" but anyway she could have said something instead of being silent for a week...At that moment I realised men and women are from different planets especially when telling ugly things to the other one.

Happier days 3
Nine years ago, I was living in Boston, working for the USA government as a history expert, collecting data about the civil war. The first and the second year were so hard. I missed my family a lot. Some days I thought that living in USA was a mistake, that I should return home. The third year, I met Sandra, who was working with me.
Quickly I fell in love with her, and a few months later, we began dating. Everything started to go better. Sandra was completing me. I didn't feel sad, and my boss promoted me. I simply couldn't stop smiling. I'd never felt better. We had a dog, and a penthouse in the center of the city, in one of the tallest buildingson in the city, with incredible views of Boston. Life couldn't get better. That September 24 was a rainny day. At 8 in the morning, my father phoned me. My mother had died. Everything turned into black. I felt again the sadness. That pain of feeling away from home. Sandra couldn't understand me, because I've always found it hard to talk about my feelings. She told me that I had it all. But I didn't listen to her, I came back home two years ago. We haven't spoken since I left. I began working in a secondary school, as a teacher. I got married, I have sons... But I never did feel so happy like those days when I was living in Boston with Sandra.

A broken relationship 4
In June 2013 my friends and me went to one of our friends birthday. In this party I met a girl whose name was Anna, she was so pretty, friendly, polite… She was the girl of my life or this is what I thought at that moment.
I started to go out with her and everything was perfect, we were always together. We spent the whole summer talking about ourselves. We found out that we were equal , we even had the same tastes. As summer went ahead I fell more in love with her. She completed me, with her aside I could do everything I wanted, I was unbeatable. When the summer finished, it was time for her to travel to Barcelona to start her university studies. Each day without her was too painfull for me, I couldn’t believe that my love had gone out of my life. She said that we could try a distant relationship but everybody knows how they finish.
A month later, I couldn’t continue with this horrible relationship, distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship wouldn’t work. “I will always remember you, you have been the person who’s made my heart have crazy thoughts.”

The return of love 4
It was 5 am and we went to the airport. I saw him and he had crying eyes and he gave me a huge hug. I started to cry and then he kissed me as if it were the last time we saw each other, then I grabbed my baggage and I started to get on board the airplane and I could hear him crying and I turned back before I went and I said "I love you". After that I went to Barcelona to start my studies at university and I had really good times but I missed having him next to me, and seeing him at any time, hugging him looking into his eyes and saying that we loved each other. For a while a good solution to this problem was Skype but then I didn't have too much time to connect and when I had I felt very sad because it was always like a cold relationship without hugs and kisses.
After three months the situation was getting worse day after day, it was something that was eating my mind and I couldn't concentrate on my studies and then I decided to put an end to this situation because I saw that distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship wouldn't work. I called him and told him what I was thinking and I added that I couldn't wait for him for two years. He didn't answer me and then he started to cry and me too , but he admited that we had just grown apart and maybe it could be the right solution.
When I returned to my city we never saw each other anymore, but three years later in Barcelona, I went to the café were I used to go and drink my coffee every morning and I looked around me and I saw him,and I couldn't believe it, he just smiled at me and I gave him a huge hug. We decided to drink our coffee together and talk about our life: he met a new girl but she wasn't the love of his life and he had finished his studies, I told him that I was in my last year at university and I was planning a trip to Mexico for a few weeks in summer. When we had finished he asked me "Shall we meet tomorrow?" and he was looking at me with these big brown eyes and smiling at me that I couldn't resist it and I said "Yes".
After that we started to go out almost every day until one day during my final exams, we met in the square and he was waiting for me and the first words he said to me were "I miss you". I couldn't understand and I asked him why he said that, and he said that he missed hugging me like in the past and being more than friends. I started to cry and I hugged him, he told me "I love you and I don't want to lose you" and I just kissed him.
Today, being in Mexico, I'm enjoying the heat of the sun on my skin lying on the beach with a tequila cocktail and by my side after 4 years I have the boy with whom I fell in love the first day that I saw him.

Christmas holidays I went to Andorra with my family for two weeks
because we had wanted to go to skiing for many years. When we were
there I met a gorgeous girl, at the skiing resort and we became friends
very fast, her name was Alice. On the 5th day I went to have
lunch with her and we spent all day together and it was fun.
That night I kissed her because I thought that I had nothing to lose
because I wouldn't see her anymore when I came back to Menorca. But
surprisingly she liked as well, so the following days were the best of
holidays because we were together all the time. But, finally, I had
to return to Menorca, then I realised if she hadn't liked me.
When I
arrived in Menorca it became very hard for me to think that I wasn't
going to see Alice for a long time. We used talk on skype, and it made me deal with her absence more easily. She told me that she wanted to come
to Menorca in Summer to know Spain and to be with me and I was very
excited about that idea, but when Summer arrived her parents sent her
to an english camp in the UK so she couldn't come to see me. We kept
the contact as we could, but we both had to study very hard so we didn't have too much time to talk and we started to grow apart. We didn't know if
we could ever see each other again and it was killing us inside,
distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship
wouldn’t work, so I decided
to try to talk less with her and not to remember her pretty eyes.
Alice
noticed that I was becoming cold with her and I had to tell her what
I thought. She took it a little bad but then she understood it. And
that's how we lost contact.
Now,
I have another girlfriend from Menorca, but she is at
the University studying in Barcelona. Once in a while I go to visit her, and last week, when I was there in a club in a party I couldn't believe
what my eyes saw. There was Alice standing in the middle of the dance
floor and she was staring at me, I think she was as surprised as me,
then she walked to me and we spent some time talking about ourselves.
Now she has a boyfriend too and next year she is going to study
biology in Oxford. We've a very good friendship now and I've promised
her that me and my girlfriend are going to visit her in Oxford the next year because I've always wanted to visit UK. From that
relationship I've learnt a lot of things even though it didn't end as I expected.

Living together 4
The first time I
saw Aiden I thought no boy as good-looking as him could exist. He was
tall, dark-haired and he had big blue eyes and a broad smile. We met at the
university graduation party. Immediately, we started going out and we swiftly
fell in love. The first five or six months were fantastic and Aiden decided to propose. I couldn’t believe it…I was so happy! We rented an old flat in the
city. We bought some furniture, we painted the house and we made it into our new home. Four years have passed since those happy days.
Repairing and cleaning
the old flat was fun but when we started to live day after day together,
cohabitation became difficult. At first we solved our problems talking and
kissing but then arguments became something usual. I couldn’t
understand his behaviour. He was disastrous: he could neither cook nor fry egg ,
he never made the bed, he wanted to play videogames twice a week, he didn’t want
to visit my mother, he made a strange (and very annoying) noise while eating
and last but not least he always stepped on the wet floor. I resisted until my
25th birthday when I ran out of patience because of his present. He
couldn’t think of anything else than giving me two tickets for a football
match: Manchester United vs. Chelsea. “The best match of the year, he said”.
Tickets for a football match for my 25th birthday? It was at that
moment when I realised men and women are from different planets. I felt
very angry and upset and I decided to cut off. Nevertheless he couldn’t
understand why and he cried and cried and pleaded me an explanation but I could
just answer: “Just because you are a disaster and you don’t know how to deal
with a woman!”
Now, when I
think about it, I realize I treated him very bad and I recognize I was unfair
because I had got angry for very silly things. Fortunately, three days after
the last quarrel I became conscious of what I had done and I called him to apologize . He accepted my excuses and we made up like we used in the past:
talking and kissing. He admitted some of his fixations and I admitted
mine. At present we respect more our
ways of life and we try to please each other. Just on this way we can live
together happily.

If I could...4
Now that he is not here it does not make any sense to make coffee for two. Now he is not here it does not make sense to go for a walk in the city as we did in Paris. And now nothing makes sense without him.
I remember when we first met five years ago. I remember that when he met me, he said that I was the shyest boy that he had ever known. I was not shy but, my body trembled and I couldn’t speak. We became friends at once and then I fell in love with him. I wish I had said what I felt before because I’ve always found it hard to talk about my feelings. I miss going to the cinema on Sundays with him, going out with our friends and dancing like Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega in the dining room of our small flat.
If I could go back in time, I would try to spend more time with him. If I could go back in time, I would have liked to die in the accident.

A broken friendship 4
I still remember two years ago when I lost one of my close friends, Clara. She was friendly, happy, funny and we used to spend a lot of time together.
One day, she was offered to study business in London and of course she accepted. But this experience meant that we couldn't see each other for a while. At this point, there was nothing that I could do, so we decided that we would speak every week through phone or skype and that we would tell each other everything just to keep our friendship on. And that was how we spent the whole year. We spoke every week and through those conversations, she used to tell me that she had made a lot of new good friends, all of them from England and other countries. At Christmas, she returned to see her family and, at that moment, I was very excited to see her again. But our reunion wasn't as I expected because we were so used to being separated from each other that, when we set a day to meet , I felt that she wasn't the same girl I used to hang out with and speak for hours. She was a different person. So finally I decided that I had to talk with her and tell her that she wasn't the same. At that moment, when I had said everything that I felt like saying , she told me that she felt humiliated and that she needed time to think about our friendship.
That night I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship wouldn't work because distance not only can affect a couple but it can also spoil a friendship.

The most emotional decision of my life 4
A few years ago, when I went to a party, my friends introduced me to a guy, called Josh. He and I chatted during all the party and after that he took me home. We seemed to get on well and I felt really happy to meet him. He was very kind and intelligent.
Later, we arranged to meet to drink some coffee. From this day, we became very close friends and we enjoyed doing different things together. Little by little, we began to fall in love with each other. However, I knew he had to go away to study and the relationship would be quite difficult. When he went to study, we phoned each other every day and chatted online.
But a few months later, I realised we were growing apart because he had made new friends and was busy with university. I didn't feel good. I knew that the distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship wouldn't work. I felt really sad but I hope we can always be good friends.

An unpleasant change 1
Two years ago I was living in Barcelona with my family, my group of friends, my school, the basketball team... And especially with my girlfriend Jennifer.
Because of the economic crisis my parents lost their jobs at the hospital where they worked , however the headman of the hospital offered them the chance to go to work in another hospital, my parents agreed that, but the problem was that we had to leaft to another city. As soon as they told me, I get angry because I would have to leave my friends and my girlfriend, who told him that he would send messages every week.
When we were in the new city everything was different for me, I make new friends in the high school and continued playing basketball but I was losing contact with Jennifer, until our relationship ended in failure because of communication problems. At first the change didn't greed me. Finally I learned that you have to go page and go ahead.

Short love story 4
I'll never forget last summer. The story takes place in Menorca and in Madrid. One day, when the summer had just started I decided to go to Madrid for a week because I had some friends there. Something that I couldn't believe happened, one of my friends became my boyfriend. I had to come back to Menorca to work.
Once in Menorca we were in touch with Skype, we talked every night and I worked hard to have enough money to go to Madrid before starting classes again. Despite the distance we were happy and we knew for sure that we'd see each other again soon. In August I had an accident with my motorbike and he was very sad because he couldn't be beside me. But soon I was more or less OK again and I continued working hard. Finally I had the money to buy the flight tickets to see my sweetheart. September began and after my retaking exams I went to my boyfriend's house and we had wonderful holidays together. We took lots of photos together, we went out with his family and lots of different things.
Then I had to come back and start school again, everything went alright, we talked every night using Skype as always but some weeks later we weren't feeling so good. He didn't have the money to come to Menorca for Christmas and my parents didn't allow me to go there to visit him. We decided to continue with our relationship but every day was more difficult to live thinking when we would see each other again. Distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship wouldn't work. For that reason we agreed to break up and we did it in a strange way: saying “I love you”.

It wasn't true love 4
We met one summer day, and I thought: " this is true love". We went to the cinema to see a love film and then we went to swim in her swimmig pool. The next day we went to a football match, and I tought I had found the perfect girl; we liked the same things!
Two months later, things were not so easy. She told me that she hated football, I told her I hated love films and I did't like her friends. She told me she wanted to talk about feelings, and I thought that I didn't want to talk anymore. She asked me if I remembered what dress she was wearing the first day we met, and which film we had seen. I didn't remember anything, so I didn't answer.
I realised men and women are from different planets and that girl and I were so different ... There was nothing we had in common, nothing we could enjoy doing together. Our relationship ended, but we are not sad. Maybe next time our planets won't be so far away from each other.

Two years ago I met a boy. I got on well with him and we made friends quickly. Whenever we could , we agreed to take a walk with our friends. At first it just was friendship but eventually something came up between us; nevertheless none dared to take the first step. Both were frightened to lose our friendship.
Months passed and feelings were growing up. When we were together I couldn’t stop smiling, we were always joking and flirting. However, when we were separated, I had my head in the clouds all day and I daydreamed. I knew it, I knew I was in love; however I didn’t dare to say it to him. I've always found it hard to talk about my feelings but I trusted my best friend talking about my situation. She had known it for a long time because she had seen my personality change. She advised me to take the first step, nevertheless I was afraid. Time passed and things haven’t progressed.
On New Year's night I finally took courage and I did it. It didn't go like I expected. He admitted feeling the same as me, even so he feared how our friendship would be affected if we kept on. He broke my heart. We try to continue as usual; nevertheless things weren't the same as before.

The best time of a relation: the idealization 4
Major William O’Connor came back home after four years fighting in Iraq. It was the first time he was on leave and he missed his lovely girlfriend Laura a lot , a beautiful blonde young girl. Therefore, just when he steppet off (just after stepping off ) the plane, he immediately went to Laura’s flat. He didn’t tell her anything about his permission, he wanted it to be a big surprise for her. So, as she was working, he prepared a romantic dinner, with flowers, candles and lots of romantic things.
As William finished cooking, a man came into the house. The mit worsean left his jacket in the hall closet and he waved:
-Hi sweetheart, have you arrived earlier today? What you are cooking smells great!
Then he entered the kitchen and he saw William cooking. The two men looked at each other. Nobody said anything. At the same time, Laura entered the kitchen and she found this unexpected scene.
-Oh William what are you doing here? - she asked - You were in Iraq, weren’t you?
-Yes, I was - he said vexed - but this month I was given a permission to see you. And now respond me: who is that man?- he asked - what is he doing here?
Laura was every time more agitated and worried and William was already angry. The second man understood that something was going on and that he could only make so he decided to go out of the kitchen. Meanwhile, Laura and William kept arguing:
- Well...you know… he is a friend that I knew some weeks ago...- she was soo nervous- ...and you were not here...and…
-Are you telling me that you have a relation with this guy? - asked him - When did you expect to tell me?!
Then there was a long silence.
-When I was at war, to see you was my greatest wish, but now, I have understood something...distance has been our worst enemy and I’ve realised our relationship will not work because you can’t be loyal to me and I won’t be a cuckold .
After saying that, he took his jacket and the flowers he bought her and he left the house for ever. Laura met other men and she never got married with any of them; William realised that the best part of a relationship is the idealization of the person you love and he spent all his life looking for this perfect idealization.

The first love 4
Everybody lives an unforgettable love story once in their live. When you live a special moment with someone, you don't know it at the moment, it's after some time when you realise it has been a situation to remember. That kind of story happened to me with my first love, the one that it's said to be the only true in life.
My story began three years ago, in September. It was the typical month when summer is coming to an end and "back to school" starts. But that year was a bit different because I didn't know anybody in my new class and that worried me, I didn't want to feel alone. However, things turned out differently, I met a lot of people and I made good school friends, one in particular. A boy called James who was different from the rest; I felt that there was a special connexion between us and I was right because it was love at first sight. We started to go out and do a lot of things together. Everything was groovy, like a perfect dream. Nevertheless, things changed without any warning, James's parents lost their job and the only option they had was to move to another city. We were too young and the situation was complicated, then we understood that distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship wouldn't work.
I fell out of touch with him, I started a new course and I got over with help from my friends and family. Anyway, he will always be in my heart and If I see him someday, I'm sure we'll have a great time remembering our story.

No ill wind that blows no good 4
At this moment, I can realize that things could be weird and fantastic at the same time. My story is such an incredible fact that I would have never imagined what happened. It begins when my boyfriend and I started to grow apart and things seemed so dark between us. One day he told me that our future simply wasn’t meant to be and he hoped that we could be always friends. I didn’t want to tell anybody the reason why he left me. I was so heart-broken and I couldn’t stop crying for a long time. I didn’t want to see anyone. I was completely buried far below.
One day, I wanted to go to a small bay and swim hard alone until I was worn out because I was so tired of crying silently. When I was getting out of the water I found a guy, who was more or less twenty years old, near where I left my clothes. He wanted to talk to me but I was trying to avert him. I said bye to him and I went away from there.
The second day since I last saw the boy I went to the park where my ex-boy and me used to be in our dates, just to remember the good things we had. I was walking through the park when I saw “our” bench. Suddenly, I burst into tears and I ran fast away from there. All of a sudden, I stumbled against the boy I saw the other day.
He tried to calm me down and by surprise he hugged me. Then, we sat down on a bench and he told me that he could be a shoulder to cry on but I answered him that he couldn’t be because I’ve always found it hard to talk about my feelings.
Since then, we decided to get to know each other and now we are only good friends. In fact, he strongly wants me to go out with him.
On the other hand, nowadays, my ex boyfriend gets jealous everytime he sees me with my Aleix.

Menorca, my salvation 4
I will always remember the day when she left me. It was a cold and stormy Friday afternoon and I had just finished working. I was walking through the station in order to get on the bus which would take me home, when, suddenly, my phone started ringing. It was my wife, Fiona. At first I got shocked as I didn’t expect that call; however, I answered it and listened to what she wanted to say to me. It was terrifying.
Fiona and I had been good friends since Primary School; actually, we had known each other since we were two because we had lived in the same neighbourhood. When I reached the age of eighteen, I left Suffolk –my native city- because it was time to study a degree. After getting my university degree –five years later–, I came back to my home town, where one day I came across Fiona, who had decided not to go on studying anymore when all her classmates and I chose to do it. During all those years, she had been going to the gym, so she had lost a lot of weight; she was simply gorgeous. As a result, I immediately fell in love with her; it was love at first sight. At the beginning I didn’t tell her about my feelings; nevertheless, a few months later, I asked her out. We started a marvellous relationship which had to last forever; in fact, soon we got engaged and afterwards we got married. We were having a wonderful and enviable life until Fiona’s boss told her to leave Suffolk because his enterprise needed her in London. Therefore, she had to move to the capital, where she hired a room in a shared flat. The first days without her were hard, but I was able to overcome them because we talked on the phone every night. However, some months later, I began to feel worried: we had stopped talking every day; now we only talked when I called her. At that moment I understood distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship wouldn’t work. I began to suspect that things were going wrong, although I did not believe it until the fatidic day arrived: six months ago, when I was getting home, she phoned me to tell me that she had fallen for her flatmate, who was far handsome and richer than me. It was the last time we spoke.
The days that followed that sad announcement were really hard for me because I fell into depression: I stopped eating and I wasn’t almost able to get up. Due to this situation I decided to leave my job and move to a new country. My choice was Spain and concretely Menorca. Since then, my life’s improved a lot: I’ve found a job as a salesman and a new girlfriend too. Everything is perfect now, so I won’t let her go away as I did with Fiona.

Nothing is impossible, if you want 4
Two years ago I met a girl, we made friends very quikly and in a few months I fell in love with her, every time I saw her, I noticed she was special and I had butterflies in my stomach.
Four months later, I worked up the corage but when I talked with her, my courage disappeared and I was angry with myself because I've always found it hard to talk about my feelings. Since that day, she began to play hard to get and it was too difficult for me because she started to grow apart and I couldn't talk with her. Six months later, she started to be likeable with me again and for me it was difficult because I had got over her but these days . At present I still love her but I have never tried to flirt with her again, because I already had a rough time/ felt bad / the first time, and I don't want to repeat that.
Nowadays, we are friends and when I talk with her I always ask myself why the second time, I didn't try to chat her up. But, I can't change the past.

TRAVEL COMPANIONS 4
I was 32 when me and my girlfriend Emily an other couple, Carol and Mikel, took a trip to New York, but before that we sat down to decide where we to go, finally we decided to go to New York.
I will always remember the day when we boarded the plane because I had never crossed the Atlantic Ocean before. When we arrived, we were really excited because we had never been to New York, and the city is extremely big and lovely. After that, it was time to have dinner, and we, the boys, would have preferred to go to a typical American food Diner . However, the girls wanted to go to eat in a romantic restaurant. As Mikel and I didn't want to have an argument with the girls we went to a romantic restaurant. After dinner, we had two options, either to go to a museum or to go shopping. As usual, the girls wanted to go shopping and we wanted to go to a museum. We decided to go to the museum and stand the girls up. The museum was very nice, we had never seen such a magnificent display. After that day, I realised men and women are from different planets.
An hour later we got back together and they weren't worried or angry. They came back with a lot of bags of clothes. In the end, we came back via England, and the trip ended very well.

Her first love 4
Three years ago, my friend Mery had a bad experience: one day she was on the beach when she suddenly saw an attractive boy. He was Jack, and Mery fell in love immediately. He was her first love.
They were acquaintances, but little by little they got to each other.
A few months later, they met many times, and at the beginning of the relationship, luckily they were very well, but unexpectedly things started to go wrong, because one midnight they were supposed to meet, and Jack forgot, he went to play football with his friends. Mary was waiting in the park alone, and she felt very bad. From that day, things changed.
Jake and Mery were really heartbroken because they knew that the relationship was not going well. They realised men and women are from different planets at these ages and they were very young.
Young boys always play football, go to the bars to have a beer... However, girls don't like this. They like shopping, staying at home watching movies...
Fortunately I was there and tried to convince them that they were too young to have a serious relationship.

Years ago, at the end of spring, I was invited to Rachel's birthday party. I was having a good time when suddenly Rachel came to me with a cute guy called John and she introduced us. At first, I was embarrassed but then we started to talk and we spent all night together, so we realized that we had a lot in common.
I think that it was love at first sight because after that party we used to chat every day and some months later we started going out. That summer was really good with him, we went to beaches, to parties, and we had lot of fun. I actually thought that we were doing things right and we could have a long and serious relationship. However, at the end of summer my father told me that he had some bad news; we had to move out of the country because of his job. I explained to John that I was leaving the country and we couldn’t see each other anymore so I cried a lot. Although we had said that we wouldn’t grow apart, it happened. John told me that he had known another girl so I got furious. After that we spoke about us and we arrived at the conclusion that distance was our worst enemy and I realised our relationship wouldn’t work. The next day we broke up.
Yesterday, my friend Rachel announced me that John got married five years later with another girl and now he is happy. I’m also feeling good with my husband and our two children.

Everything is possible 4
My boyfriend and I met when I was 15 years old. At first it was very beautiful and romantic because all the beginnings are really wonderful. I met him when I was studying 4th of ESO. He lived in Ciutadella and I lived in Maó and I saw him only at the weekends.
After a year, one day he explained to me that he wanted to go to Barcelona. When I heard this I became very sad because I would only see him during the holidays and thought that my relationship would change.
On 10th September my boyfriend left. At first I was very sad, I was alone and missed him. I only wanted to stay at home, I didn't want to go out with my friends because I've always found it hard to talk about my feelings.
However, my relationship is nowadays really good. I can say that I totally believe in a long distance relationship because If you love someone , everything is possible. You just have to trust the other person and hope that he loves you as much as you love him.
And when you can be together then it is wonderful.

A difficult relationship 4
It was a day like any other when Ana arrived home. She didn’t imagine that it would be a wonderful day. When Ana went upstairs
she turned on the computer. As soon as she logged into Facebook, she saw that
Miguel was connected. Miguel was the best friend she had made during summer in
London. There, Ana had met a lot of people, but she had had a crush on the boy.
Nevertheless there was a big problem; Miguel was from Madrid, and Ana lived in
Mallorca. For this reason, they missed a lot.
After she had been thinking, the girl
realized that Miguel had begun a conversation, however Ana didn’t know that he
had really good news. After they had spent some time chatting, Miguel gave her an amazing idea: the boy invited her to stay some days in Madrid together. When Ana
saw that they could be together again, she was extremely happy and she accepted
immediately. They were planning a date for the meeting and they fixed the Christmas
holidays. Suddenly, Ana accomplished that they had already been flat mates, so
she knew him well. They would be together for a month! December was the best month
of their lives. They didn’t have any arguments, and their relationship improved.
The day of the farewell arrived. They were
really sad and heartbroken. They would never forget these holidays. At midnight,
Miguel accompanied Ana to the airport. He told her they would never lose touch
and they would see each other the next holidays. While Ana was in the plane, she thought that
distance was their worst enemy and she realized their relationship wouldn't
work. Eventually, as soon as she arrived at Mallorca, the girl phoned Miguel
and they split up, but they would be close friends.
